About Lucy

Systems don’t make systems. People make systems. People can change systems too.

Lucy Byrne is a multifaceted professional blending roles as facilitator, trainer, adviser, coach, author and non executive director who works with governments, not for profits, educational institutions and the corporate sector to build healthier organisations.

As Tasmania's only Certified™ Professional Facilitator (CPF) with the International Association of Facilitators, and one of just 13 across Australia, Lucy is recognised for designing engaging, inclusive and practical workshops that bring people together to solve complex challenges, challenge conventional thinking and create meaningful, future focused outcomes.

With more than two decades in public service creating healthier communities, stronger partnerships and better systems, Lucy co founded a successful consultancy that began delivering community health and wellbeing initiatives before growing into a national capacity building business supporting organisations across Australia.

Drawing on this experience, Lucy has developed her own suite of proprietary tools and frameworks, combining evidence based research, best practice models and practical experience to help organisations strengthen governance, leadership, strategy, culture and community outcomes. Her approach balances contemporary thinking with practical application, championing locally responsive, co designed and future focused solutions.

As a dual graduate and award winner of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Lucy is a respected governance adviser and experienced non executive director with a passion for contemporary governance. She has published peer reviewed research, presented at international conferences and is known for her ability to simplify complexity, ask thoughtful questions and create practical solutions.

Whether working with an individual, a board, leadership team or community, Lucy is driven by one simple belief: organisations can achieve outstanding results while making a positive difference. Through governance, facilitation, coaching and strategic advice, she helps organisations strengthen capability, improve performance and create lasting impact for the people and communities they serve.
