  • Lucy Byrne guiding a strategic planning workshop for organizational development

    Healthy Planning

Do you know that you need to work on your organisations strategic plan, membership strategy, corporate plan or another internal document, but aren't sure how to get started?

Has it been on your to-do list, but tends to get put on hold as other priorities come up?

Do you wish someone could just make it happen?!

    Lucy is that someone!

She has a magic wand that will help you and your team members think better, together. Actually, it’s less of a wand and more of a wad… of techniques, tools and tricks that encourage constructive conversations, sense-making, and ideation all whilst staying on task and on time. So yes, it does seem magic; a magic wad.

Lucy will work with you to pull together a planning workshop to help inform the future activities and strategic directions of your organisation. Her agenda will ensure your team members feel engaged and heard and they will leave knowing that their voice does matter.

  • Healthy Culture

You know culture can’t be “done” in a day. It’s in everything you do, shaped by the tone at the top, the mood in the middle, and the buzz at the bottom. It’s hard to define but easy to feel, showing up in how people act when no one’s watching. Whether your team needs to reflect, reset, or reconnect, Healthy Culture helps people build trust, connection, and momentum, where the real work of culture begins.

This engaging workshop blends science and storytelling, guiding participants through experiences that build teamwork and insight, with plenty of laughter and “aha” moments along the way. We’ll explore how the science of the brain meets the art of being human, drawing on neuroscience and emotional intelligence to understand what drives behaviour and why some reactions are only human, but not always helpful.

Together we’ll unpack how values and personality styles shape culture and explore the five functions of a healthy team, trust, constructive conflict, commitment, accountability, and shared purpose. Through practical, light-hearted activities, participants will practise communicating with empathy, navigating tricky conversations, and noticing the small moments that build trust over time.

Everyone leaves re-energised, connected, and ready to take small, purposeful steps toward a healthy, thriving culture that lasts.

  • Healthy Values workshop exploring team and organizational value alignments

    Healthy Values

Lucy knows that when personal, team, and organisational values align, everything works better—decisions are clearer, collaboration thrives, and people feel truly engaged. But when they don’t, teams become disconnected, frustration builds, and workplaces struggle to retain great people.

She helps organisations explore these value alignments because understanding values isn’t just a feel-good exercise—it’s fundamental to high-performing teams and engaged individuals.

That’s why Lucy runs Verging Values, a workshop designed to help teams uncover where their values sit, where they clash, and how to build stronger alignment for a more connected and motivated workplace.

  • Leadership and strategy retreat facilitated by Lucy Byrne in a natural setting

    Healthy Retreats

Stepping away from daily routines is one of the most powerful ways to unlock fresh thinking, innovative ideas, and stronger connections. That’s why Lucy designs and facilitates leadership, strategy, and team retreats—in Tasmania, across the country, or anywhere in the world.

Retreats provide the space to focus on strategic planning, governance, leadership development, team building, or a critical project. Research shows that time in nature enhances creativity, problem-solving, and mental clarity—and let’s be honest, the best thinking happens away from the inbox.

With some of the world’s best beaches, forests, and farmland, Tasmania is the perfect setting to reset and refocus. Having worked as a tour guide in a national park, even making bush tea from Kunzea, Lucy knows firsthand how nature changes the way people think, connect, and lead.

A retreat isn’t just about strategy—it’s about wellbeing, preventing burnout, and recharging for what’s ahead.

So, where to? Tasmania? The outback? A coastal hideaway? Let’s make it happen.

Testimonials

  • "Lucy is a dynamic facilitator who excels at creating a space that is both relational and intellectually challenging. She maintains a broad, "helicopter" perspective, which helps untangle complex issues while guiding participants through them. Her approach keeps you engaged, using active exercises to stimulate thinking and offering space for deep reflection. This balance ensures participants remain alert and thoughtfully engaged throughout the experience.”

Dr Corina Modderman, Deputy Director of the Violent Vines Marshman Centre for Rural Health Research La Trobe University, Victoria

  • "In theory, a planning day sounds dull. But Lucy made the day enjoyable: she skillfully used props, analogies, and humour. She ensured that everyone was heard, and that at the end of the day, there was a consolidated position from which to go forward. She had previously studied the topic and had a good understanding. I have already highly recommended Lucy. "

Maree Bakker, Senior Policy Officer, NRE Tasmania

  • "Over a 44 year career I have attended a few facilitated workshops and can honestly say I found Lucy as a facilitator to be one of the best I have had the pleasure to work with. She listens, has humour and is flexible and dynamic in her engagement"

    Councillor Terrance Hughes, Kentish Council

  • "A great experience all round. Thank you for so effectively engaging our entire team resulting in great team cohesion and understanding, as well as a workable strategic plan. We would not hesitate to engage Lucy for future team events at the full range of organisational levels"
