Leading Well starts with Living Well

Winter has a way of reminding us to check in with ourselves.

For many people, this time of year feels busy, heavy and relentless. Work doesn't slow down, family commitments continue, and the shorter days can leave us feeling like we're running on empty.

One thing I've learnt, both personally and through working with leaders and teams across Australia, is that looking after yourself isn't a luxury. It's part of leading well.

You don't need to stop. You don't need to have everything perfectly balanced. But taking time to rest, reflect, move your body, connect with people who fill your cup and do something that brings you joy isn't selfish. It's what helps us continue showing up for the people who rely on us.

As we head into the second half of the year, perhaps this is your reminder to be just as intentional about your own wellbeing as you are about achieving your goals.
