What's a compass got on a map? Well, here's how I see it.

A map is precise, with marked terrains and specific locations, offering clear, step-by-step directions on how to reach a destination. In contrast, a compass equips you with a tool to navigate in the right direction, steering you towards your goal or purpose - your "north star."

While a compass doesn't spell out the entire journey, it serves as a constant guiding force. It's there to point you in the right direction, especially when you encounter challenging or unfamiliar terrain. Just like a compass can help you find your way through uncharted wilderness, a mentor assists you in navigating the unpredictable, ever-changing landscape of life, offering support and guidance to achieve your purpose – your end goal.

Need a compass? If you'd like to work one-on-one with me the compasses I give out (I'm really leaning into this metaphor eh?) work particularly well if you work in the Local Government, Community or Health sectors or you are starting a new business and want to learn how to make both an impact and an income.   Send a quick DM if you'd like to find out more and I'll be in touch.
